THE MOVE

Pastor Kazeem Desmond Ogunsakin received of the Lord to start a work in the city of Roscommon. This move was of a great faith as Pastor Kaz and his family had to leave the city they live, fellowship, and are well known to travel another 30 minutes drive regularly, sometime thrice a week for a new assignment from the Lord

THE FIRST SERVICE

On the 9th Sunday in September 2007, Zion Family Christian Church held its first service in a hotel (Glessons Town House) at the market square in the city of Roscommon. The charter members of the church are: Ms. Olayinka Ogunbufunmi (Now Mrs Olayinka Okoh), Mrs. Funmi Olobio and family, Mr. and Mrs. Akinyemi and Brother Paul Mugo. These brethren all joined the Pastor in obedience to God to begin this great work.

2007— 2012

THE MOVE

The very first challenge came in December of the same year when the hotel we were using for service got burnt with all our equipment affected. God in His faithfulness gave us another venue (Hannons Hotel) the very same day the hotel got burnt, and we were there until the Lord provided a place for us in the middle of the town about a minute walk to the market square. During this period others came on board to be part of the ministry work force: Pastor and Mrs Denis and Evelyn Idahor, Mr and Mrs Presley and Maris Garuba, Mr and Mrs Peter and Silvia Eduard, and Mr and Mrs Joe and Rosemary Ugboko. We equally, witness the joining of Irish citizens, the likes of Brother Patsy and family, Jason and Adriana with their daughter Maria.

2012 – To DATE

THE MOVE

Through consistent biblical teaching and the work of the Holy Spirit, God has increased the church both numerically and spiritually. Lives have been transformed, families strengthened, and believers equipped to live out their faith boldly in everyday life.

Over the years, ZFCC has become a truly multicultural and international church family. God has brought people from different nations and backgrounds into the fellowship, including Nigeria, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Brazil, Spain, and other parts of South America. This diversity reflects the heart of God and the unity of the body of Christ, where people from multi-cultural backgrounds came together as one family.

Despite challenges that come with growth and changing seasons, God has remained faithful. He has sustained the church, deepened its spiritual foundation, and expanded its reach. Today, ZFCC continues to grow as a place of prayer, sound doctrine, and genuine fellowship, committed to raising godly families and impacting Roscommon and beyond for Christ.

From 2007 to date, Zion Family Christian Church stands as a testimony that God is faithful to His Word and to those who trust Him, building His church by His power and for His glory
